The new drama is off to a strong start.

Fox announced today that its newest drama Empire has been renewed for a second season. The freshman series, which premiered earlier this month, is off to an impressive start for the network. Its premiere episode on January 7 topped the night with a 3.8 rating in the adults 18-49 demo, and its second episode built on that with a 4.0.
While still early, it's clear that Fox has a potential hit on its hands. If the show's numbers continue to be this strong, Empire will not only be the top new series of the season, but also one of the top-rated broadcast shows on television.

I am happy that FOX decided to cancelled empire, I am praying that a knowledgeable network can see the potentials in Empire and pick the show up. I really enjoy watching empire each and every week. Your lost FOX with your crazy self

Why would somebody want to cancel this show its the best show on Fox. A good show is a good show nobody could beat this show.Everybody face it empires the real deal its the best ever made go cookie😎 and lucious.lol

I am a married White/Caucasian female...and please!!! stop with the racist innuendo. This show is AMAZING....I can't wait each week to watch it. I could care less if the characters were green polka dotted people.....Let's face it....great acting is great acting...FOX has a MAJOR HIT 5 out of 5 STARS ***** !!! <3 <3 <3 LOVE LOVE LOVE....YOU GO COOKIE GIRL ;) :)

I like this show. I don't understand why some ignorant people mention race as a reason for renewal. I'm white and I really enjoy the show. Stating race is the reason for renewal is just ignorance, and bigotry showing its ugly face. It's a great show, that leaves you on the edge of your seat. Thanks Fox for already renewing the show.
