The comedy favorite will return next season.
January 20, 2017
NBC has made it official: Will & Grace is being revived for a return to television during the 2017-2018 season. Rumors of a possible revival had been swirling since last fall, when the cast reunited for a short online special urging Americans to vote in the upcoming presidential election. And while that was done without any involvement from NBC, it was obviously enough to get the network to start seriously considering a continuation of the series.
Will & Grace originally premiered in 1998 and during its eight years on the air became a staple in the peacock network's Must See TV comedy lineup on Thursday nights. The series was revered by both audiences and critics alike, consistently drawing top ratings and taking home numerous awards. With today's news, the series joins the growing list of fan-favorite shows coming back to television after extended absences.
NBC has ordered a 10 episode limited run of Will & Grace for its return in 2017-2018. Original stars Eric McCormack, Debra Messing, Sean Hayes, and Megan Mullally are all reprising their roles, with creators Max Mutchnick and David Kohan taking on the showrunning duties.

Not really interesting in seeing the show revived. It was great back in the day, but I'd rather just watch repeats. Also, just read that Will and Grace will be childless and single in the new episodes. That's not how the original ended. Seriously lame. No thanks.

Just call it Jack and Karen. It's really the reason most people watched it. They were the best. Will had his moments, but Grace could have not even existed and I would have been ok with that. I think a revival is ok for some people...but it's not something I'd tune in and watch.

Looking forward to it! I also loved jack and Karen the most. I think the show has great promise. I don't know why so many negative comments, it's just like any other comedy. It's the actors that make it entertaining. I'm straight and I could care less if someone's gay. I will be watching!

Thanks for the unsolicited geography lesson. Any kind of ethnic change to a character is stupid. If you make any non-white character into a white, then there is an uproar. Having these actors and actresses in a show is fine. Even naming the show the same is fine (I guess). Give the characters different names though at least. How would any Cuban feel if we rebooted Ricky Ricardo into a red headed Irish guy? Not very good I imagine.

@Plop, "from white to Spanish" makes as little sense as "from white to German" or "to French". Spain happens to be part of Europe, you know.

Louise, it's probably a fun project for them. They each have loads of talent. Why so bitter? If you don't like the show, just don't watch it.

On a side note, for anyone who watches Bojack Horseman, did you notice in season 3, the poster for "Krill and Grace"? LOL.... I laugh every time I see it.

Why? We already know what happens pretty much. They ended the original with Will and Grace seeing each other when dropping their kids off at college. The show wrapped itself up. I'll admit I was a big fan and watched it whenever it was on, but I just don't see the point in this. I've seen McCormack and Mullally in other shows and movies that have seemed to do pretty well. I'm not sure about the others, but it kind of seems desperate. I don't know. I really liked the show and watch the reruns all the time. Not sure I have an interest in a revival though. It'd be like bringing Friends back. It was great! Loved it! But it's over.

I loved the original....well Jack and Karen to be exact. Will was ok. Never cared for Grace. If I want to watch Will and Grace though, I'll just tune into the reruns. Really have no interest in a revival.

So they gave them the same names but turned them from white to Spanish? That's so stupid! What's next? A Honeymooners reboot starring Cedric the Entertainer and Mike Epps?
