NBC announced today that the Will & Grace revival will be coming to an end after three seasons. Together with its original run, the comedy will air a total of 11 seasons and 246 episodes over the span of 21 years. The show's cast and creators took to social media to express their gratitude and say their good-byes.
The Emmy Award-winning series returned in 2017 and wasted no time in picking up where it left off. The revival garnered praise from both critics and fans for capturing the essence of the original series and returning to form without missing a beat. The show was even nominated for a 2018 Golden Globe Award in the Best Television Series - Musical or Comedy category.
Will & Grace originally premiered in 1998 and during its first eight years on the air it became a staple in the peacock network's "Must See TV" comedy lineup on Thursday nights. Rumors of a revival first started when the cast reunited in the fall of 2016 for an online special urging Americans to vote in the upcoming presidential election. And while that was done without any involvement from NBC, it was enough for the network to end up bringing the show back.
Look for the final season of Will & Grace during the mid-season of 2019-2020.

No surprise, like a lot of fans we tuned in to see our old time favorite but was turned off by it's political agenda. I don't understand why entertainment industry doesn't understand that as much as we all care about politics we watch our entertainment in the evenings to get away from. Just looking for our old fashioned fun and entertainment and were disappointed. Plus, how great is it that this show was a comedy favorite in the early 00's during a bias time? Absolutely awesome accomplishment!!

@Will
"You wouldn't identify yourself as such but that's part of the problem." You brought hate in to this, and honestly are the only one using it. That is the problem. It doesn't matter how you identify. That does not force you to be toxic. You judged a group for no reason. Left or Right does not matter, hate is wrong. You can do better, you can be better.

LOVED the original series hated the revival they just were no longer funny. The jokes used to be precise and funny even if you didn't agree but the revival was dull and boring and nothing was funny. I never got past the third episode.

@ WILL - you are an idiot to believe that crap. I am not homophobic nor am I a racist, but I have no tolerance of ignorant people, which you obviously are!

@ Cal, most on the right just don't ADMIT to being homophobic or racist; there's a difference. You wouldn't identify yourself as such but that's part of the problem.

.......But just to clarify, I do understand that Murphy Brown and Will and Grace lasted longer than "Last Man Standing". I don't even know why I posted my first comment. Sorry.

Will please don't be a heterophobic. Every comment before yours and the article itself only talked about a tv show, its quality, and it ratings. You brought in orientation and hate towards a group. This is toxic. You can be better. We can do better.

tv is rebooting no lESS than 25 more reboots. it's a huge mistake. they did have success with charmed and roswell but most of the reboots have not done that well. Will and grace made 3 seasons , that's pretty strong for a reboot. but it was charmed and roswell's successes that have inspired this craze. and we will see tons of older shows rebooted. including alice? , bewtiched? , tons of them.

the reason they cancelled will and grace and murphy brown was ratings in the 18-40 age bracket. older viewers remember these shows and remember if you were in your twenties back in the 90's your in your forties at least now. will and grace though was a later show. but most of it's views would be in the late 30's to 40's range. last man standing is from THIS decade. with viewers who have been loyal to it for a while.
