Netflix announced over the weekend that new comedy One Day at a Time has been picked up for a second season. The half-hour sitcom, which premiered in January, is a remake of the classic Norman Lear series of the same name that aired for nine seasons between 1975 and 1984.

Similar to the original, the updated version of One Day at a Time follows a former military veteran and single mom who is doing her best to raise her progressive teenage daughter and socially awkward tween son. While viewership numbers for the show haven't been released, critical response has been extremely positive.

The streaming service has ordered 13 new episodes for Season 2, matching its first-season total. No time frame for a return has been announced as of yet.
