The comedy will return in 2018.
March 9, 2017
FX announced today that Baskets has been renewed for a third season. The good news comes as the comedy winds down on a solid sophomore run that continued to garner critical praise and consistent viewership.
Co-created by and starring Zach Galifianakis, Baskets follows a middle-aged man with dreams of becoming a professional clown, though real life has always seemed to get in the way. Three episodes remain in Season 2, which will air its finale on March 23.
Look for Season 3 of Baskets in 2018.

.. at least I don't passive-aggressively attack others because they have an opinion. I think it may be YOUR immaturity showing here Emily.

I love this show. Christine Baskets is the purest character on television. Anyone who finds her character funny because she's played by a man isn't mature enough to watch this show. I think this season is funnier and more heart-warming than last season. I wish I didn't have to wait so long between seasons.

I don't know... as I watch each episode, I find myself asking more and more.. "where's teh comedy?" I get that it's meant to be a bit dry and, well understated. But much like Louis CK's humor... it seems to REALLY be missing at times.. Really, the "funny" aspects are due to Louie Anderson in drag.. and the CGI for "twin" scenes.... but not the ACTUAL script in my opinion. Season 1 had some really funny moments... season 2.. not so much.
