CBS announced today that Mom has been renewed for a fifth season. The Chuck Lorre-created series remains one of the network's top comedies, recognized for its proclivity to weave serious topics like death and addiction into its comedic storytelling.
Mom's impressive run will reach the 100-episode milestone during Season 5, which will return this fall as part of the network's 2017-2018 lineup.

I'm very happy this show is still on air. The episodes are still funny to me and another season is a gift to tv, thank you CBS!

I was really down on this show after the 3rd and 4th season.. death, cancer, and nothing funny. But they've kind of lightened up a little this past season. It's still nowhere near the top of my "funny" list, but it is decent before you quickly change the channels so you don't accidentally scar yourself by catching 2 Broke Girls after it.

This show has grown on me. The ability to have serious episodes is what caught me. It can be funny and serious which is difficult sometimes for comedies to pull off. Both Anna and Allison are hysterical.

Yeah! MI'm is my 2nd favorite network comedy w/ Life in Pieces following closely in 3rd for my family. I'm thrilled that all 3 will continue. (TBBT is our #1) Now it is up to the writers and showrunners to keep them fresh.
