The dramedy receives another early pickup.

TV Land announced today that Younger has been renewed for a fifth season. The good news comes two months ahead of the veteran dramedy's Season 4 premiere, which is scheduled for June 28. Deep into its run, the series continues to be a solid performer for the cable network.
Younger follows Liza, a 40-year-old single mother who pretends to be in her 20's after struggling to get back into the working world. Her lie helps her land a job at a publishing firm, but it also starts to complicate matters in her personal life.
TV Land has ordered another 12 new episodes for Season 5 of Younger, which is in-line with its first four seasons. Look for Season 5 in 2018.

I loved chapters 1and 2 and 1/2 of the 4th was really good 😊

this is one of those shows that will deal with that when it comes up. I think they are taking the show slow and it might be a problem when the actress starts to age beyond the character, but hey they will do something.

Pope - Each season is not a year in the life of the show. One season is a couple months in the time line.

I loved season 1. I don't have cable though and it was on HULU.then poof no longer on streaming services. 😣

So.. if the show started with a 40 year old pretending to be 26... wouldn't season 5 mean a 45 year old pretend to be 30 and no longer part of the "younger" crowd??? Not sure viewers realize that between 40 and 50 is where most people start to really show age. I don't watch this, it's too estrogen centric for me. But I am curious :)

This show proves impastor was poorly written. It has a person who is lying to get a job. This one put it in a situation where it was reasonable and made it so that her employers were not having to actively avoid doing any research to keep the premise alive. It also has such a good script you can suspend disbelief a little. Not on Impastor. On that show you had to ignore everything and were still given lame jokes.

TV Land is still on the air. I stopped watching it after they cancelled the far better show Impastor.
