The medical drama will return in 2017-2018.
May 14, 2017
Ahead of its upfront presentation next week, CBS has given a third-season renewal to Code Black. Considered to an 'on-the-bubble' show since early in its run, the medical drama has again received a last-minute pickup for 2017-2018 despite drawing only modest ratings.
Bucking this year's trend of networks renewing primarily in-house productions, Code Black is being brought back even though CBS co-produces the series with ABC Studios. Keeping the show around does give CBS at least one medical drama in its lineup for next season.

I am one "Happy Girl" since CBS came to it senses and renewed this one. Now, let's give it a good story line to keep it on the air!

I'm glad this one got the pickup. Great cast and not your typical medical drama.

Was holding my breath... glad they kept it. Rob Lowe was a great addition, lets see if his character sticks around.
