The door is still open for the franchise to eventually continue.

After delaying a decision on the future of 24: Legacy during last month's upfronts, Fox this evening has officially cancelled the action drama after just one season. The move comes following the franchise's first incarnation without Kiefer Sutherland - a 12-episode run in the spring that ultimately fell flat in the ratings.
Fox executives had high hopes for 24: Legacy, giving it this year's coveted post-Super Bowl time slot that started its season off with over 17 million viewers. And while the next couple of episodes fared decently, audiences stopped coming back for the remainder of its run.
It is being reported, though, that Fox and 24's production team are open to revisiting the franchise in the future with a more anthological format, with each season featuring a different setting and a new cast of characters.

I am disappointed. The show is more than KS. It had the same fast pace as the original, and it was great to see an African American in the lead role. I look forward to whatever incarnation they create next.

I saw the first 20 min of the first episode, same format and a little rediculous story.
Couldn't watch anymore, figured I may watch later, especially if renewed. So I doubt it.
Not surprised this has been cancelled.

I haven´t seen Legacy because I didn´t liked the last season with Sutherland. Repetitive and obsolete. It´s a dead franchise, bury it.

24 without Jack (kiefer Sutherland) is like the Bourne movies with Jason Bourne (Matt Damon). Come on Fox, what are you thinking? Obvious outcome. That's not even delving into what previous the post said about its format. Come on, it was a risk doing 12 episodes of 24 with Jack Bauer's character still in the mix. Now your just getting lazy or you're just not trying.

Did not have the same feel or even look. It was forced and felt painful to watch. After 4 episodes I gave up. Clearly Kiefer Sutherland carried the show and without him, its never going to be successful again.
