No Season 4 for the space drama.
September 1, 2017
Word is out this afternoon that Dark Matter has been cancelled at Syfy after three seasons. Series co-creator Joseph Mallozzi confirmed the news in a post this afternoon on his personal blog, expressing his deep sadness in a brief statement and promising to follow up with more thoughts in a further entry.
Based on the graphic novel of the same name, the Canadian-produced space drama follows the crew of a derelict spaceship who awaken from stasis with no memories of who they are or how they got on board the vessel. They then work together to survive the voyage, facing threats such as betrayal, secrets, and vengeance around every corner.
The series aired its final episode just last week, ending a three-year run with a total of 39 episodes.

I for one have more going on in my life than have to be watching a TV show when it first airs and I am getting sick and tired of this happening over and over again. I am going to start watching shows only if they finish with a proper ending. People need to start boycotting channels altogether if they continue to cancel shows without a proper endings. No point complaining about it and then being glued to the TV when the next big thing comes along only for the same thing to happen again. If a show is to be cancelled then it should be law in the entertainment world that the story has to be given a satisfactory ending. What is the point in people investing your time and money watching and/or buying seasons of TV shows for it to be cancelled down the track without conclusion. It's like reading or half a book or just purchasing one a chapter at a time. U.S. television should take a leaf out of the U.K.'s book, where most shows don't keep milking it until viewers leave and then cancel. Instead the shows have a set run and leaves the audience wanting more.

I want a crystal ball that will warn me of things like this. I won't even start watching the show. I guess I will have to dump SyFy just like they have dumped me. This show deserves a final season or at least a resolution movie. I thought every actor on the show was worth watching and the story lines were getting pretty involved and interesting. Very, very sorry to see it go.

I bet the same douchebag that cancelled firefly now works for syfy and cancelled Dark Matter. Wtf? Syfy blows. This show was the only reason to tune in to this terrible network. Their new direction is down. (toilet flush) F U syfy

seriously i guess syfy just wants to be the reality (faceoff) and shows that are not really syfy . i feel like they have lost touch with who they are and Dark Matter was an excellent show. you could have done season 4 and wrapped it up. you cancelled aftermath without any resolution and a big screw you to the fans. hopefully this will go on like many other shows and move into the comic book universe like many other shows have done. and a big piss off to syfy

Just found this article that Dark Matter has been cancelled. It is the only show I was currently viewing on the SyFy channel, now I guess I'll be watching none. This past season was a bit different or perhaps unclear but I still like all of the characters and I enjoyed seeing the changes in the Android, I liked #2 as the conflicted but tough leader of this ragtag group. I am very saddened and disappointed.

Hi, like most viewers. we stay with a show because we love it, enjoy it, or get hooked on it. We become loyal/ addicted FANS. if you are going to cancel, at least give the loyal viewers an Ending. Why try any series in the future if there is no ending. Wait until it concludes, and watch the box set? If more viewers did this most shows would be cancelled. due to low ratings. Make a choice networks,be brave, finish what you STARTED.

I am so disappointed. I loved this show. Especially Android. I'm not very surprised though. They cancelled Warehouse 13 too. Warehouse 13 was fantastic.

Pretty much what I expect from the morons who think Sharknado is entertainment. NBC/SyFy is dying a slow death because of bad decisions like this.

This one probably cost them more to make than "killjoys' I like both of them. If only netflix would pick this one up for a few seasons.
