The talent competition will return in 2018.
September 20, 2017
At the end of tonight's season finale of America's Got Talent it was announced that the competition series will be staying on the air for at least another year. New host Tyra Banks confirmed that the show will be returning next summer for a 13th season to continue its impressively-long run on the network.
On the air since 2006, America's Got Talent has maintained its position as the summer's top-rated series year after year, regularly besting its time slot competition. Banks was brought on as host this season to replace the departing Nick Cannon, who hosted the show for eight seasons.
While no formal announcement on the judges was made, it's likely that all four current judges - Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel, and Mel B - will be back for Season 13.

Sorry, did not care much for Tyra. Judges often praised contestants as winners to soon in show. Some even as first act. Young children should not be on show. Let them enjoy childhood first and shame on parents for pushing them so early in life. Do the final top ten still tour as in early years?

Andrew, and why are there contestants/acts from France, Ukraine etc on a show called America's Got Talent!?! Makes no sense.

Ironically, I've had this conversation before with a few others about how come all the judges are NOT from America. I must admit though I like Simon as a judge and have agreed with almost every one of his instincts on the performers. Nevertheless, I do miss Nick Cannon, he made me laugh so hard on most weeks with his zany behavior. Tyra's cool though, I think she will improve over time, as Nick did.

Mel B showed her true colors as an intolerant liberal when she rang the X buzzer for the Donald Trump impersonator before the poor guy even had a chance to display his talent. Her Trump Derangement Syndrome caused her to prejudge this guy before he even had performed! So much for those tolerant liberals eh?

@TheTuna. Good point. But you forgot to also mention that although the show is called America's Got Talent, several of the finalists were from Ukraine, France, etc. Meanwhile, talented Americans were sent packing. Either change the show's name or let those acts appear on France's Got Talent or Ukraine's Got Talent...

I love those comments. I can't understand why heidi is a judge. She just says the same comments over and over...I really do... and adds nothing to the show. Just comes off like a bimbo. I usually fast forward the recordings when she speaks. I also did get a kick of mel b when she looked like a clown in the second to last episode. I really do.

I agree with Matthew and I would add that they need to replace Heidi. She's annoying, has a hard time understanding English sometimes, and generally brings nothing to the table.
I also still find it interesting that it's America's Got Talent, yet it's being judged by a Canadian, two Brits, and a German.
Still a good show overall, though.

When you inflate a trash bag and wear it, it will look like you are wearing an inflatable trash bag. She spent too much time trying to be on the show as the main host instead of the 4th, equal to, judge. Nick cannon realized he had to let the acts and the judge be the show and that he was just a highlight and it worked.
I just don't care enough about youtube rejects in the early rounds or unfunded touring acts in the later rounds to watch anymore. AGT takes 2 hours to read 4 names. I get that you are stalling but i will just skip it and watch the highlights later.

i love this show... Tyra was horrible this year though. She was constantly off when she talked. Some episodes she looked like she was dressed in an inflatable trash bag.. the next episode her makeup had her looking like a rupaul stunt double. Just get rid of Tyra and find a better host.
