The long-running drama will lose two original cast members.
January 30, 2018
USA Network announced today that Suits has been renewed for an eighth season. The veteran drama continues to be a reliable performer for the cable network, where it remains one of its most-popular originals.
Though while the show will be continuing, it was confirmed today that original cast members Patrick J. Adams and Meghan Markle will be departing at the end of Season 7. Confirmed to be returning are original stars Gabriel Macht, Sarah Rafferty, and Rick Hoffman, along with the newly joined Dulé Hill, who will be a regular going forward.
Along with today's pickup, USA Network also announced a return date of March 28 for the back-half of Season 7. New episodes will air through April 25, where a 2-hour season finale is planned to send off Adams' and Markle's characters.

Will miss Patrick J. Adams and Meghan Markle, but knew she was off to better things. Also, the story line has been off for a couple of seasons. Guess it will just turn into another lawyer show. We too are bummed about the cancellation of Damnation. It was a good show for that time period in history !!

I adore the show but I don't think I can watch without Mike. He was the drive early on, his secret was the whole point of the show. I think it's a mistake to keep going without those two. Should have found a way to wrap it up before losing major cast members.

Can there be a season 8 without Mike? The relationship between Mike & Harvey was the main drive of the show.

Yeah I agree with a few that said it maybe run it's course a while ago. I use to really like the show when it first came out. The writing was good and it had a similar feel to the first Ocean's Eleven remake where they just had great chemistry, but after a few years it just got stale.

show should have been canceled 3 seasons ago way to telenovela now and pointless first couple of seasons were amazing.

I'm 3 episodes behind (left) on my DVR. Agree that Mike and Harvey were the key to the show but Brad's comment that Mike has actually become less important is valid. Adding Gus, however good, doesn't make up for Mikes loss, but what's really needed is to relax the hypertension just one small notch. I would like to see more rational lawyering brought in. During the first year, I did not expect Rachel (Mehgan's birth name by the way) to become a major character. She actually did as much honest lawyering as the big shots. She was good, but I'm ok that she leaves with Mike. Gabriel Macht with slightly less loopy writing are the necessary drivers.

Without Mike Ross, isn't it just going to be just another law procedural? Mike and Harvey are kind of the whole point of the show. Whoever's-Around and Harvey could just go be another show.
