The new spy thriller will return for a second season.
April 5, 2018
BBC America has given Killing Eve an early pickup for Season 2. The good news comes ahead of its series premiere this weekend.
Based on the 'Villanelle' novellas by Luke Jennings, the thriller follows two opposing spies. On one side is Eve, a sharp MI-5 security services officer who is stuck at a desk job that doesn't fulfill her dream of being a spy. Opposing her is Villanelle, a psychopathic, yet intelligent, killer who loves the luxuries her violent job provides her. By the nature of their occupations, these two relentless women become equally obsessed with each other, and face off in an epic cat and mouse game of tradecraft.
While the series has yet to debut, it has garnered a healthy amount of early critical praise, which the cable network has attributed to today's renewal. Look for the premiere this Sunday, April 8 at 8:00pm on BBC America.

I have it set to dvr, but why would they renew a show that hasn’t even aired yet to know if enough people tuned in to watch or not. Seems odd. I stopped watching new shows until they’ve been around enough to spend my time watching. Otherwise you waste hours of your life watching shows that are cancelled after few episodes

BBC america is not really owned by the bbc. So they have to buy series. Although they have made some. This show is probably made with sky tv or someone. Many shows they cancel are not theirs. But they do cancel most of the shows they did produce. After a few series. This one sounds good and it's starting tonight . 4-8. So give it a chance.

It is their only show besides darts and a fat English guy interviewing has-been celebrities, so it's a good thing they renewed it.
