A movie is being considered to conclude the comedy.
May 3, 2018
It is being reported that Netflix will not be bringing back Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt for Season 5. The streaming service is instead opting to end the comedy after its upcoming fourth season, which premieres the first of its two parts later this month.
The first six episodes of Season 4 will be released on May 30, while the remaining seven episodes will come at a later date that has not yet been announced. Word is that a movie is also being planned to conclude the series, though nothing is official yet.
Produced by Tina Fey, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt stars Ellie Kemper as a woman starting her life over after escaping from a doomsday cult. Originally picked up to-series by NBC, the show was eventually sold to Netflix and became the first original comedy on the Internet-based platform. Three years on, it continues to garner high praise from both fans and critics alike.

The opening song lyrics cheer me up at a time not much else could. I feel my mood lift every time I hear it. Having just gotten Netflix two months ago I am now a fan. The show is a balm to the heart and soul of most if not all progressive woman and gay people living though the second wave of civil rights in this country during my lifetime. Thank you for this uplifting show. It helps in ways I can't explain. My gratitude to the cast, creators and Netflix.

Liked Ellie better on The Office. Not a fan of the Punky Brewster-type outfits.. but.. funny show. :) Sorry to see it end, but.. well.. it's only a show.. and actually only 1 or 2 days of binge watching gone....maybe I'll spend it outside :) ... life goes on.

Was a really funny show but the sjw politics/bs it pushed made it really annoying so gave up in first season.

this is such a shame. This show is so funny and from what I can tell immensely popular.

Damnit! The Plopster enjoyed this show but realizes it doesn't have such longevity. At least it will get a good ending and we have one more season and a movie to look forward to.

Just another reason I switched to Hulu and cancelled Netflix. This and Maria Bamford's Lady Dynamite both gone. Those two were it me for "Netflix's Original Programming". Plus they lost all Fox. Nothing left for me on Netflix. Sorry to see it cancelled. It was a fun show.
