The cop comedy will not return for Season 6.

Word is out this afternoon that Fox has cancelled Brooklyn Nine-Nine after five seasons. The sad news comes with two episodes remaining until the comedy's now-series finale, which is scheduled to air on Sunday, May 20.
The half-hour series, which stars Saturday Night Live alum Andy Samberg, has been a decent performer for the network over the course of its run, though slipping ratings in recent seasons has seen it perennially on-the-bubble come renewal time.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine follows an offbeat group of detectives and staff at the 99th precinct of the New York Police Department. The eclectic squad is led by Jake Peralta, a talented but immature detective whose carefree style clashes with his stern, by-the-books captain.
The show recently surpassed the 100-episode milestone and was the network's second-longest-running live-action comedy. It also won numerous awards over the years, including two Golden Globes in 2014.

They cancel this but bring back Last man standing. I can not watch Fox any more. I will not support a network that is that dumb.

Upon seeing this news, my first reaction was that Fox cancelled the wrong show; I would not have minded if they had sacrificed "The Simpsons" or "Family Guy" in favor of "Brooklyn Nine-Nine". After that, I got some sort of acceptance that the end was near with Jake and Amy's upcoming wedding. Hopefully, this show goes out on top with its series finale.

So bummed!!! Why can't the networks cancel shows earlier so they can end decently for the fans. Oh no, they don't bother to think of the fans!! Whatever, this was the only show I watched on Fox so good riddance to you, Fox!!! Loved it and have it on DVD so will enjoy watching it again and again.

Nooo!!! There are very few shows I really love & this is on the short list. Just started rewatching from season 1 on amazon video...in my opinion, this season is just as solid as the first couple of seasons. Of all the total crap shows, cancelling good tv like this is just total BS. Get bent fox.

They made sure it got enough episodes to be syndicated. Then it was expendable and fox dropped the hammer.

So tired of FOX, I won’t even consider watching any new scripted show put out by them anymore. I’m sure they will cancel The Orville next year and then I’m done,
