No Season 2 for the sci-fi drama.
May 11, 2018
It is being reported that ABC has cancelled The Crossing after just one season. The mid-season entry premiered early last month, drawing decent ratings for the network in its Monday night time slot.
Set in the small fishing town of Port Canaan, Oregon, The Crossing follows what happens when 47 refugees from a war-torn country wash up on the beach seeking asylum. In a sci-fi twist, it turns out they are actually from America and the war they're running from is 180 years in the future.
New episodes of the show will continue to air as-planned, though a series finale date has yet to be announced.

What idiot pulled the Crossing after just one season? What do we have to do in order to get it back?

ABC is making some stupid choices, cancelling The Crossing was not a good choice and also cancelling shows because of actors political choices this is ridiculous. What I don't understand is why would they keep a show like the View and Jimmy Kimmel, oh I forgot it's because they bash the conservative party everyday and stick up for the looney tunes, honestly those shows are annoying and I don't even watch them anymore. ABC you need to start making better choices and put your political views somewhere else because guess what people are going to go to the network where some of these shows might be picked up because I pretty sure someone else will do so.

I'll bet that killing The Crossing was a bean-counter move. It has great actors, great locations and great story lines (yes, plural!). That actually cost money. The mindless reality nonsense is cheap to make and the audience still gets counted by the head, not by the brain cell.
Still, this show got a greenlight for a reason. It's solid, sophisticated storytelling, and entertaining to boot. Maybe they'll shop it to another network or streaming service … of course, it's made by ABC Studios, so that not be permitted for a while.

I read all of the comments posted and the majority is to not cancel. I agree, this was a good show. I don't watch the reality shows, too boring. This show hooked me, but of course, who cares what the regular people want, ABC might have gotten some viewers with more then half a brain. But they can now have the mindless zombies as their viewing audience.

I cant believe you are canceling the crossing. It had great character development. Very intriguing, exciting, we loved it. Y look u need to give good shows a chance. I actually cared about the characters or hated them. I am not an easy to please person. This is a great show but I guess you need room for another stupid reality show for the mindless masses. Give people with intelligence a break and do not cancel this show.ive invested my time enjoying this show and yet again, another one ripped out from under me.my h uh stand and I are very disappointed with your decision to cancel TheCrossing. Clearly your lug heads in charge don't know what they're doing.

What's the point in putting on a new show, just to cancel it after one season? I was so looking forward to the season finale tonight, June 11th, just to find out the show was cancelled and the finale was shown on a different night. I will think twice before starting a new show......what a waste of my time

This show reminds me of whats going on in our world today. Or in the future with global warning and our politics we could be in same situation. Bring it back we need shows like this. Very disappointing that they did this again.

What's with ABC cancelling The Crossing, Designated Survivor, Deception, Once Upon a Time and many more. Some of the shows left on the air are really bad, who's the one making all these decisions? They should develop a better system for keeping shows on the air, such as asking people what they think of the shows and not just a designated few that they contact on a regular basis, IE the Nielsen's ratings, etc. Something needs to change.
