The move follows allegations of abuse from an ex-girlfriend.
June 16, 2018
One day after Chloe Dykstra penned a scathing account of her abusive relationship with Chris Hardwick, AMC has announced that it will no longer be airing Talking with Chris Hardwick - at least for the time being.
The decision comes just one day before the pop culture talk show was scheduled to debut its second season, and puts Hardwick's entire working relationship with the cable network in jeopardy. His planned appearances at next month's Comic-Con convention have also been cancelled.
In a statement released earlier today, AMC said, "We have had a positive working relationship with Chris Hardwick for many years. We take the troubling allegations that surfaced yesterday very seriously. While we assess the situation, Talking with Chris Hardwick will not air on AMC, and Chris has decided to step aside from moderating planned AMC and BBC America panels at Comic-Con International in San Diego next month."
Dykstra's allegations originally came to light in the early hours of Friday morning, when word spread that the actress had written a lengthy, unlisted post on website Medium, detailing her troubled, three-year relationship with an unnamed male who was quickly revealed to be Hardwick.
Later in the day, Hardwick responded to the claims, denying any occurrence of abuse or assault, writing, "I'm devastated to read that she is now accusing me of conduct that did not occur. I was blindsided by her post and always wanted the best for her. As a husband, a son, and future father, I do not condone any kind of mistreatment of women."
For now, Talking with Chris Hardwick has been taken off of AMC's schedule. Depending on the results of their investigation, Hardwick's entire relationship with the network could also be over, leaving the future of Talking Dead, the aftershow that follows episodes of both The Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead, up in the air.

"Innocent until proven guilty"....he wasn't fired by the judicial system and/or government. He has not been imprisoned by the government as well. Innocent or guilty has nothing to do with economic reevaluation of a employee. He is tainted and could hurt AMC's profit (AKA smart business capitalism). Sucks but it's how things work.

From what I was reading, it seems that reps for the guests on the new season of his talk show have been calling AMC to pull the show. Their clients don't want to be associated with him.

@Gina : She posted it unlisted and did not name Hardwick. You are being a stereotype right now, blaming the woman for everything.

Ridiculous. Potentially ruining someone's career based on he said, she said. Boo on AMC. Perform your investigation, but keep the show on while you're doing it. I've enjoyed the channel, but this just shows that they have the same terrified, out of touch management types that make my corporate job so insanely difficult and hard to get excited about performing.

hmmm it seems like there is so much CRAP coming out of Hollywood lately. who knows what is true and what is fabricated. if amc replaces hardwick on talking dead then i vote for yvette nicole brown to replace his hosting duties. good luck chris hardwick in your future been a fan for a long time maybe kroq will hire you again.

Why do we have to hear about her abusive relationship? Go to a therapist! In the meantime, put the damn show back on already.

So domestic issues result in someone being fired from his/her job without an investigation?? Not that the Network has any business prying into someone's private life but this seems like a knee-jerk reaction from them. I am a woman, and I'm actually outraged by this! I'm outraged that she decided to post the details of her complicated relationship online for the world to read knowing there would be consequences. I am so mad because I like this show!
