The summer reality series returns this August.
June 20, 2018
ABC announced today that Bachelor in Paradise has been picked up for a fifth season and will return in under two months.
The reality spin-off series, which features contestants from previous seasons of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette looking for love in a tropical resort setting, has remained a solid summer staple for the network.
The continued success of The Bachelor franchise, which began 16 years ago, has resulted in a number of recent offshoots. 2010's Bachelor Pad was the first entry to air in the summer months, lasting three seasons before being replaced by Bachelor in Paradise in 2014. And earlier this year The Bachelor Winter Games joined the roster, airing for two short weeks during the Winter Olympics.
Season 5 of Bachelor in Paradise premieres on Tuesday, August 7 at 8:00pm.

Well.. I certainly don't get the appeal of these shows.. but I will say they ALL seem like a slightly better premise than the upcoming "The Proposal" from the same producers. It's all "junk" tv that's cheap to produce so I can see why networks pick it up... but I am flabbergasted by the morons that tune in to this drivel and think it's real.... I guess they have to have something other than wrestling to believe in.

This is cheap programming . so network heads love it. And of course you get some bored ladies watching it. It's no worse than big brother.
