No Season 5 for the cable drama.
August 16, 2018
It is being reported that E! has cancelled The Royals after four seasons. The sad news comes three months after the show concluded its now-final season, and leaves the cable network with no remaining scripted originals in its lineup.
The series was actually the first scripted drama on E!, premiering in 2015 and going on to be a solid performer for most of its run. Viewership did fall in Season 4, though, losing roughly a quarter of its total audience and experiencing a similar ratings drop in the adults 18-49 demographic.
The Royals was set in modern day London, following a fictional British royal family as they live their extravagant lifestyle under public scrutiny.

So unfortunate that this show was canceled because of Mark Schwahn. The show was actually pretty good, I thought, and I usually hate shows like this, and pretty much everything on E!
