CBS extends the dramedy's debut outing.

It looks like God Friended Me will be sticking around for a full season, as CBS has ordered more episodes towards its freshman run. The exact size of the top-up is not confirmed, but reports peg it at around seven, which would bring its total to 20.
The hour-long series premiered in late September and is off to a solid start. Through its first three episodes, ratings have improved its time slot performance compared to a year ago. Early reviews have been overall mixed, though lean towards the positive.
God Friended Me follows New York podcast host Miles Finer, who is an outspoken atheist. When he randomly receives a friend request from God on Facebook, it starts him down the path of becoming an agent of change in the lives and destinies of people around him.

Cynicism is alive and well, in the USA. GOD FRIENDED ME provides an extraordinary relief from the headlines. Besides, what's wrong with televising a program that gives people hope and a good feeling? There are far too many violent, murder, etc. shows ALREADY being televised.
Labeling viewers who prefer positive, uplifting shows as opposed to all the negativity that has saturated the airwaves, as "weirdo Jesus freaks" is an indication of how debased this country has become.
How can we MAGA, if we are continually & subliminally seduced by violence and sex throughout each day?
It's no wonder the HGTV & DIY programs have grown in popularity.

People always love television shows with open and tolerant people, then turn around and vote the exact opposite into office. So funny. This is a good show with a good heart and message.

this is one of the best hour long shows on tv bar none! So great to watch something with meaning that has no explicit sex, no crime no politics: just ordinary people acting like more people should act! This show takes some real thought to put together and should be a breakthrough to better tv all around. Cheers to CBS!!!!!

Not for Jesus Freaks or weirdos as one commenter said. Firmly tongue-in-cheek with other items such as "Oh God", "Arcadia", "Early Edition", "Quantum Leap". Not anything like "Touched By an Angel" which became far too preachy. It's clever how everyone and everything connects together, just like we all wish it actually did. It's a fantasy and a fable meant to entertain.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this show!!! The stories are so interesting, and I love the way the characters are developing. I look forward to seeing the dynamics of Miles and his farher’s relationship. A show with a religious theme has been needed for far too long. I only hope and pray that CBS will give it an honest chance.
