It is being reported that ABC has topped up Season 2 of Station 19 with more episodes to give it a full season. The precise number of episodes, however, has not been disclosed, though it will likely mimic that of its Thursday night lead-in, Grey's Anatomy.

The firefighter drama premiered in the spring as a spin-off of Grey's Anatomy, airing 10 episodes that performed well during its off-season run. After a successful debut outing, the network moved the series to its regular fall schedule for the 2018-2019 season in the time slot following Grey's Anatomy as part of their TGIT lineup. The show has performed well through its first three episodes, hitting series highs in key categories thanks in-part to a cross-over episode with Grey's.

Station 19 follows the crew at Seattle Fire Station 19, where everyone from the captain to the rookies puts their hearts and lives on the line regardless of whether they are on duty or off the clock. These heroic men and women are like a big family, and together they risk their lives as first responders in order to save others.
