Word is out that Station 19 will be coming to an end after its upcoming seventh season. The news arrives three months before the 'Grey's Anatomy' spinoff returns for its now-final run that will conclude its story.
"For seven seasons, Station 19 has been a highlight of the ABC lineup thanks to Shonda and Betsy's incredible vision, beloved characters and compelling storytelling," said Craig Erwich, president, Disney Television Group. "With Zoanne and Peter at the helm of the upcoming farewell season, we have so much to look forward to, most notably the celebration of the show's milestone 100th episode."
Station 19 follows the crew at a Seattle fire station, where everyone from the captain to the rookies puts their hearts and lives on the line regardless of whether they are on duty or off the clock. These heroic men and women are like a big family, and together they risk their lives as first responders in order to save others.

Never watched the show, but if it's anything like Chicago Fire, they start off with a good premise, but then my guess is that it's turned into a weekly soap opera like Chicago Fire has done.

Here's another example of Strong female leads being cancelled. Bad decision ABC, BAD DECISION.

Great S1 and S2 , decent S3 but Covid-19 came and they went woke.
It became unwatchable, silly, and garbage.

Wow! Surprised it took so long for the ‘Go woke, go broke’ troll to comment. While the show was far from perfect I enjoyed it.

Sadly it’s time to go. I know storylines are far fetched in tv shows but Katarina was wearing on me. She is a full-time doctor at Grey-Sloan but is always at the firehouse doctoring too? She’s an OB! I found all those women and their personal lives annoying and the fight to be captain. They chose the wrong people to kill off like both captains and Prue’s dad. Even the cop. Whatever their names are. Oh well.

Good. Grey’s Anatomy needs to end as well.

I will miss this show terribly. It seemed as though it was just beginning to reach its stride. I hope they didn't cancel it because Grey's Anatomy is coming to its end, because although I'm a avid fan of Grey's Anatomy that show's time should come to an end. This one shouldn't.

I like Station 19 but the story the past couple of years has made no sense so not really surprised its ending. At least Grey's has a story that keeps moving ahead I feel Station 19 has gone in circles and sometimes goes off a cliff with their storytelling.
