The comedy receives a long-awaited pickup.

FX announced today that Better Things will be returning for a fourth season. The good news comes a month after the comedy's much-anticipated third season premiere.
Fans of the Pamela Adlon series have been awaiting word on its future, as it was all the way back in October 2017 that the show was last renewed. The delay was likely attributed to Disney's acquisition of 21st Century Fox's assets, which includes FX. Today's renewal for Season 4 is the first for the cable network since the deal closed last week.
Created by Adlon and Louis C.K., Better Things stars Adlon as a divorced actress raising her three daughters in Los Angeles, California. She has also directed all of Season 2 and 3's episodes. The series has been continuing to garner critical acclaim throughout its run, and in 2018 earned its first Golden Globe nomination for Best Performance in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy.
Look for Season 4 of Better Things in 2020.

How does the saying for this season go... "I missed an episode, but I didn't miss it."

It's NOT funny.. It's one of those shows pretentious people CLAIM is "amazing" just to be "different" -- it might be funnier if Louie showed up waving his member around.. because Adlon ain't no comedian.

I was watching Better Things" the the other night. My wife came into the room and watched it with me. She had never seen it before. She commented "this isn't even funny, looks like a bunch of weird people and their spoiled kids sitting around doing nothing". I reflected upon that insight and had to admit she was spot on right! I asked myself, where is the "comedy" in this comedy? Not surprisingly it's a lot like "Louie". What is this new type genre that "critics" insist on calling a comedy? Seems more like a "day in the life" kinda thing. Not a comedy though, not even close; doesn't pass the test for me, which is at least one "LOL" moment per episode.

Honestly.... WHY?
I watch this show, and i can't for the life of me give a good reason why.
It's boring. The cast does nothing but whine throughout the entire show. The main lady's voice is like nails on a chalk board.

I really tried watching this season, but I just lost interest after the first two episodes. Sorry.
