It is being reported that Better Things will be coming to an end with its upcoming fifth season. The news comes over a year after the dramedy was picked up for its now-final run.
Co-Created by Pamela Adlon, Better Things stars Adlon as a divorced actress raising her three daughters in Los Angeles, California. Adlon has also directed every episode of the show since Season 2 and also participates in some of the writing.
Look for Season 5 of Better Things in 2022.

I liked this show from the beginning. I've generally been a Pamela Adlon fan in other things she's done, but the last couple of seasons have really turned me off. Her hatred of all men has always been fairly noticeable, even when the roles didn't need it, but in this show, all the stops are pulled out. There isn't a single straight cis male character that isn't depicted in the most negative light. No coincidence it happened when Ms. Adlon took over the directing and writing. I doubt I'll watch the final season.

To be fair, its been so long I thought it was already cancelled.
That said, The grandmother and oldest daughter are ANNOYING. The mom and Frankie are the coolest on the show.

I didn't know this wasn't cancelled long ago. It's past time for FX to start making actual better things.
