No Season 5 for the family comedy.

It is being reported that CBS has cancelled Life in Pieces. The sad news comes five episodes into the comedy's fourth season, which was moved to air in the mid-season this year for the first time.
The half-hour series has been a fairly consistent performer for the network, airing behind Mom, which acts as a reliable lead-in. The late season premiere this time around, though, had raised suspicions that the show was nearing the end of its run.
Life in Pieces follows three generations of the Short family, with each episode telling separate short stories that each focus on a different group of the clan. New episodes resume airing on May 23.
I’m sad to say @LifeInPiecesCBS has been canceled by @CBS. To all the fans and people who have supported us over the last four years I want to thank you so much! We had such a special group and have been so lucky to share our family with you. #LifeinPieces

The writing is amazing and the cast is so perfect together. Why do so many other marginal programs get renewed but a quality show like this gets cancelled? I will be sending good thoughts that it gets picked up by another network
