The film-based drama won't be back for Season 4.

It is being reported that Fox has cancelled Lethal Weapon after its third season. The move was somewhat expected, as the cop drama experienced its own share of behind-the-scenes drama over the course of its run.
The series was a fairly solid performer for the network, but tension between its lead stars became a well known secret. Its future first came into serious doubt last year after star Clayne Crawford was fired over multiple alleged on-set incidents. But because of its strong numbers, Fox replaced Crawford with Seann William Scott for Season 3, coming on as a new character to partner with Damon Wayans' Roger Murtaugh.
Then last October, Wayans let it slip that he was planning to exit the show midway through Season 3. And while he later decided to sign on for three more episodes, the show was starting to feel as if it had run its course.

Only way to relive the show again: Give it a half or full year off. Then, do a reboot with completely new casts.

While I sorta liked Sean William Scott they should've known this show wasn't gonna last without THE main character, Martin Riggs. It just wasn't Lethal Weapon without Martin Riggs, it's that simple.

I also am sad to see it go. I thought it worked really well with adding Sean William Scott. Really like Damon Wayans, hopefully he'll be in another show I can watch. Funny how so many viewers move on if a character is removed.

I'm sorry to see this one go. I liked the first couple of seasons, but liked it even more when they added Seann William Scott. I was dreading it when I heard he was coming in, but I thought he gave his character heart and depth that I didn't think he was able to give.
I hope this opens up a lot of doors for him - he was great!

Too bad. Loved the show. Show was actually better with Scott for those who watched. Better chemistry. Fox sucks. Cancelled 3 other shows I really enjoyed.

I was unsure if Id watch LW after reading that D Waynes was leaving the show. I'd give it a chance if D Waynes Jr replaces his dad and hulu or Netflix picks it up... oh well 1 less show on my auto rec list.

The last season actually was very good. Sad to see it go. But I figured it probably would happen based on Damon Williams.
