No Season 2 for the mid-season spy dramedy.
May 12, 2019
Word is out that Whiskey Cavalier has been cancelled by ABC after just one season. It wasn't long after the news broke that the show's cast took to social media to express their sadness that Season 2 would not be in the cards.
The spy dramedy premiered in February with a high-profile campaign centered around its big-name stars Scott Foley and Lauren Cohan. While its debut episode drew a decent audience, the show under-performed in the weeks that followed. The show has two episodes left to be aired, with the series finale set for Wednesday, May 22.
Whiskey Cavalier follows tough but tender FBI agent Will Chase, who gets assigned to work with edgy CIA operative Francesca "Frankie" Trowbridge. Together they lead an inter-agency team of spies tackling high-stakes missions, while navigating ups and downs in their personal lives.

Watched the finale yesterday and it ended on a cliffhanger (as most of those shows do) but it was a predictable one. I see they are discussing bringing it back! I really hope they do or someone else picks it up since it is done by an outside studio. Yes it is corny at times, too predictable at times, and too far fetched at others but that doesn't make it any less fun to watch for me. Too many of those types of shows take things too seriously.

This show was fun but way to corny. Im actually glad its cancelled. Now Lauran Cohan an get that a$$ back to The Walking Dead where she belongs and i hope she stays there for the rest of the run of that show. Sometimes these actors get way to full of themselves thinking they can just break off and be a big hit elsewhere. Most times they're wrong about that.

I'm really sad to see that this show got cancelled. I really loved this show and all the characters. You get so invested into the cast and show and then they pull the rug right underneath you. Hopefully they will reconsider or another network picks it up.
