The reality series returns to TV this August.
June 26, 2019
A&E announced today that it is reviving Ghost Hunters for what will be its 12th overall season. The news comes as part of a new focus on paranormal-related programming coming to the cable network in 2019.
Ghost Hunters last aired in 2016 on Syfy, where it spent 11 seasons before the team behind the show announced that Season 11 would be its last on the network. It was strongly hinted at the time that moves were being made to find the show a new home, so today's announcement does not come as a complete surprise.
The series follows a team of paranormal investigators lead by Grant Wilson as they investigate hauntings at various locations across the country where paranormal activity is reported.
A&E has ordered 20 episodes for Season 12 of Ghost Hunters, which will premiere on August 21 at 9:00pm.

I just hope they don't use the same style for the show and leaving the evidence to the end of the show. Could actually be a good show if they changed that around

It has always bothered me when people complain about a show, how many channels are there to watch? Simply don’t watch if it irritates you. It’s the grown up thing to do, right?

I cant believe they're bringing this crap back. I was so glad when syfy dumped it. It was waaaaay played out at THAT point. I mean, whos clamoring for more of this garbage?

It would be nice if the new show rose above the original series which was little more than a bunch of clowns playing chicken shit in the dark but I doubt it will.

Argh. This show should have been left for dead, as it seems that A&E will be soon (to me at least).

So, paranormal is the flavor of this year's programming schedule. More fictional "reality TV" pulled from the bottom of the desperation barrel.

the real spooky thing about this show..is the level of apparent gullibility of it's viewers. They may as well hunt the Tooth Fairy.....

The Plopster isn't a fan of shows that search for stuff that doesn't exist. But if you enjoy it, then I am happy you're happy.
