The spin-off series will return in the fall.
January 7, 2020
The CW announced today that Legacies has been picked up for a third season. Premiering in 2018, the drama acts as a follow-up to The Vampire Diaries and The Originals. Today's renewal comes during the show's midseason hiatus, with new episodes scheduled to return on January 16.
Legacies focuses on a group of young adults including Hope Mikaelson, the 17-year-old 'tribrid' daughter of Klaus and Hayley, and Lizzie and Josie Saltzman, Alaric Saltzman's twin girls. These young vampires, werewolves, and witches are coming of age in unconventional ways - on the road to becoming the heroes or villains they are meant to be.
Look for Season 3 of Legacies in the fall.

Anyone else noticing bits and pieces of Buffy? I love how legacies brings back a little bit of Buffy The Vampire Slayer. Did Dark Josie make anyone think of Dark Willow. I absolulty love Alaric and have been a fan of him since TVD, in Legacies he reminds me of a Rupert Giles. Then again Legacies do have some writers from Buffy. Anyways, I am loving it.

I really didn't think I would like this one. I loved The Vampire Diaries but I couldn't get into The Originals so I thought this would be a bust, I was most definitely wrong. So much better than I ever thought.
