The animated comedy scores a two-season pickup.
January 15, 2020
TBS announced today that American Dad has been renewed for two additional seasons, which will bring it to Season 17 in 2021. The veteran animated comedy is currently in its sixth year on the cable network after its move there from Fox in 2014.
The series has continued to be a reliable performer for the network, still ranking as one of cable TV's top 5 comedies. It will hit its 300th episode this year, which is an impressive feat for any television show.
American Dad follows an all-American family led by CIA agent Stan Smith. Their everyday life is taken to the limit as Stan applies the same extreme measures he uses in his job to his home life. And aside from their two children, they also house an alien named Roger and have a talking pet fish called Klaus.

@Phiilies, Sheesh you're dim. I need not possess the skills to do a better show not to like one. I don't have to be able to play the piano to not like piano music. You are (almost) living proof that light travels faster than sound. This is why you appear bright until you speak. LOL, fool.

Well Nudnik of time, it's time to put up or shut up. Apply for the job of voice talent or animator or make your own show so we can critique it.

HAPPY!! Yes, there are some shows (and seasons) that aren't great... but I love American Dad! I wish this was back on Fox. The only thing I watch on Fox now is Family Guy.

Sheesh. They need new voice overs and new animators who can draw faces.
