The animated comedy gets two more seasons.
January 11, 2018
TBS announced today that it has renewed American Dad for Seasons 15 and 16. The long-running animated comedy is currently in its fourth year on the cable network after its move there from Fox in 2014. The show has done well at its new home, as it continues to be one of the top 10 comedies on cable television.
American Dad follows an all-American family led by CIA agent Stan Smith. Their everyday life is taken to the limit as Stan applies the same extreme measures he uses in his job to his home life. And aside from their two children, they also house an alien named Roger and have a talking pet fish called Klaus.

So are we gonna get 22 episodes for each season just like the last TBS order? What's the deal here?

Yet another show that never should have made it onto the air, much less lasted this long. What the hell is wrong with people that they keep watching this garbage?

They need to beef up the B story or drop it. Some of them have been one joke over two scenes lately. They seem more like interruptions than a story. They also need to get a better schedule and show them regularly. While it might not be great anymore it is far from "lets cancel" territory. Also what do they have to replace it with? AD reruns?

Thank you TBS, this is a great & underappreciated show! So much garbage on tv today & AD is one of the few good animated shows left..

Very surprising, seems like it's been declining in viewers for the past few seasons. I'm glad it's sticking around a bit longer. Not a great show anymore but still enjoyable to watch
