Netflix announced today that Bonding has been picked up for a second season. The good news comes nine months after the dramedy's freshman release, which was reasonably well received by critics.

The series, which is comprised of shorter-than-normal episodes that run between 13 and 17 minutes, was created by Rightor Doyle, who also writes, directs, and has a role as an executive producer.

Loosely-based on Doyle's personal experiences, the show follows New York City grad student Tiff, who moonlights as a dominatrix. After recently reconnecting with her former best friend, she recruits him to be her assistant to make some extra cash. The unlikely pair's new professional relationship starts redefining their friendship. And it even helps them find themselves.
