No Season 5 for the Matt LeBlanc comedy.
May 6, 2020
CBS announced its list of renewals today for the 2020-2021 season, and Man With A Plan did not make the cut. The comedy, now in its fourth season, is the only returning show that the network did not pick up.
The comedy premiered in 2016 as Matt LeBlanc's first return to network television since his career-making turn as Joey Tribbiani on Friends and its subsequent spin-off Joey. The show garnered fairly consistent ratings over the course of its run, but CBS switched things up in Season 3, shortening its episode count and moving it to the mid-season, where it remained for Season 4.
In Man With A Plan, LeBlanc plays as a married man with three young children. His work as a contractor has seen his wife taking on most of the child-rearing responsibilities, but when she decides to go back to work, he must adjust to his new role as a stay-at-home dad.

Sad, to see this end the "idea" of the show was good, but it went in a different direction. Which I felt that it confused the audience the premise was good, unfortunately it became more about the adults and then the kids. Love the cast though!

@Thomas
You are laughable - You are so lazy, you just copy your comments from other shows that you posted on - I wonder if you watch TV at all !!!

Shouldn't have been green lit in the first place so they or anyone else should be happy it lasted this long.

Bad elements (poor lazy writing, laugh track, multi cam, bad unrealistic sets, studio lighting, extra) of a bygone era. You had a hit with Big Bang because it started at the end of that era. Don't expect us to fall for that agian. Have a little faith in us. Try something new. We can handle it.

I liked the show but, not surprised by its cancellation.

While I think this show was pretty average, I still didn't mind it. I like average shows I can just mindlessly watch after a long day. This one was fine and one of the better shows on TV.

I had quit watching for many reasons, but picked it back up this season and felt it was funnier than ever. I love the characters, esp all the men they are a hoot and play well off each other. How pitiful CBS couldn't include this show with all the others.

One of the funniest shows/comedies on TV currently. CBS, why would you cancel this show? Great cast, including and especially Matt LeBlanc. Material always fresh. Other networks have let Last Man Standing run for many seasons, yet you let this show go? Not a smart move.
