The Edie Falco cop drama will not return for Season 2.
May 6, 2020
Some sad news is out for Tommy this morning. CBS announced their schedule for the 2020-2021 season and the freshman drama was absent from the lineup. The cancellation comes the day before the show's now-series finale. The move is not a complete surprise, though, as it was plagued by low ratings for the entirety of its time on the air.
Tommy stars Edie Falco as Abigail "Tommy" Thomas, a former high-ranking NYPD officer who becomes the first female chief of police for the city of Los Angeles. A New Yorker through and through, Tommy uses her brutal honesty and hardball methods to keep social, political, and national security issues from hindering effective law enforcement in the Southland.

CBS will crushed you are cancelling their app. I guess they will have to be content with the other 3,999,999 users. Putting this show out of its misery was the humane thing to do.

I love the I'll be cancelling CBS from your watch list comments. LOL! It shouldn't be on there in the first place CBS Completely Bad Shows. The problem with CBS is the get a hit with shows like 2 1/2 men, which really wasn't that good, and Big Bang Theroy, which wasn't good either. But they were simple shows for simple people and people with no intelligence could watch.

They never learn when you get Woke you go broke. Deputy tried it and they found out people don't want that crap. This show tried it and once again found out people don't want to watch that crap. All Rise was only saved because slight rise in numbers and the virus saved it. But Hollywood is too stupid to realize when you go woke you end up broke

No surprise here. Imagine a cop show with no cop stories not getting renewed. Should have learned a lesson from Deputy. Both shows should be run in the afternoon with the other soap operas.

Very sad this was cancelled. Edie Falco is great and the show was never given a go. CBS you always cancel the good shows and leave the sucky ones on. Dumb move. Think I’ll cancel my CBS app

I really like this show. After watching the season finale I was already looking forward to the next. What a mistake by CBS.

Sad to see this one canceled. Really liked the stories.
I wish CBS would reconsider. I thought maybe people could get over their phobias and focus on the story line.
