The comedic game show will return in 2021.
August 5, 2020
TBS announced today that The Misery Index has been picked up for a third season. The good news arrives in the midst of the game show's sophomore run, which the network also confirmed will be returning with new episodes in October.
Jameela Jamil hosts the comedic series, which features two teams, each made up of one contestant with two members of the Impractical Jokers. Teams face off by attempting to rate hilarious and miserable real-life events on a scale of 1-100 based on a ranking system created by therapists.
Look for Season 3 of The Misery Index in 2021.

Used to think this was the worst until I saw the Top Secret Video show. Would definitely take this over that.

I Cant believe this is still on. it is just pointless and percentages seem just randomly picked. if it wasn't for the Jokers who attempt anything other then IJ aren't funny at all this show would have been cancelled a long time ago.

@I'mneverwrong - LOVED your last comment! Yes, watching it often should definitely qualify.
I had never heard of the Impractical Jokers when I found this show. I just couldn't tolerate it because I over analyze everything and without the "professionals" to justify the score, I rarely agreed. That made it more annoying then enjoyable for me. I'm shocked it is renewed.
A few years back TBS, I think, had a show with a blonde comedian and her dog. The premise was one team member thought they were on an internet show for low $. The other player knew it was big bucks. Why couldn't that have been renewed. I loved it.

@LoveMe...No it's not your sense of humor, it's your low IQ.

I’m shocked as anyone- I stumbled on this show while channel surfing and laughed my ass off. I do not usually care for this sort of thing- maybe it’s my sadistic sense of humor... but I find it very entertaining and funny.

This show is the same thing as watching BAD tv sitting around with friends... only instead of you and your friends making comments about the show... the Jokers do... yeah, their comments can be humorous.. but the show is still pretty awful. And I'd wager viewing it often rates VERY HIGH on the Misery Index.

Love this show, glad it’s renewed.

The Impractical Jokers are funny. This show is not. I guess they need the money, otherwise I can't think of any reason why they would debase themselves with this garbage.
