TBS announced today that The Misery Index has been picked up for a third season. The good news arrives in the midst of the game show's sophomore run, which the network also confirmed will be returning with new episodes in October.
Jameela Jamil hosts the comedic series, which features two teams, each made up of one contestant with two members of the Impractical Jokers. Teams face off by attempting to rate hilarious and miserable real-life events on a scale of 1-100 based on a ranking system created by therapists.
Look for Season 3 of The Misery Index in 2021.
More laughs. More fun. And of course, more misery. We're officially returning this October with all-new episodes, and also renewed for a THIRD season! Brace yourself -- it's gonna be a wild time. #TheMiseryIndex pic.twitter.com/vzQZKAj4r2

I had never heard of the Impractical Jokers when I found this show. I just couldn't tolerate it because I over analyze everything and without the "professionals" to justify the score, I rarely agreed. That made it more annoying then enjoyable for me. I'm shocked it is renewed.
A few years back TBS, I think, had a show with a blonde comedian and her dog. The premise was one team member thought they were on an internet show for low $. The other player knew it was big bucks. Why couldn't that have been renewed. I loved it.
