The military dramedy will not return for Season 2.
September 2, 2020
It is being reported that Paramount Network has cancelled 68 Whiskey after just one season. The news comes five months after the dramedy wrapped its 10-episode freshman run.
The hour-long series got off to a solid start when it premiered in January, garnering decent reviews and fairly good ratings in the early going. Unfortunately audiences did not stick around, leaving the show outside of cable TV's Top 100 by its finale.
68 Whiskey follows a diverse group of men and women who are stationed in Afghanistan as Army medics. As they endure dangerous surroundings, they rely on friendship, vices, and a shared sense of purpose to get them through their days.

Entire tv world made for women but women don't care for gender benders they want hot masculine guys. If you don't have it no one wants to watch it. You go girl gets old really fast without indignation and soapy drama mixed with eye candy.

I really enjoyed this show. I realize that it was probably not accurate to real experiences of our troops, but it is fiction. It was not intended as a docudrama. That being said, I am sad to see it go.
PS If you do not like a show, do not watch it. Pretty simple.

It seems every US war since WWII had to have its absurdist drama/comedy. WWII had "Catch-22", Korea had "M*A*S*H", and Vietnam had "China Beach". "68 Whiskey" was supposed to be that for Afghanistan but frankly it just never jelled.

Sad to see it go and sad to read some of the comments, it wasn't a documentary on the military, our medics or PJ's, it was a funny show that distracted us from the nonsense we see on the MSM daily....I served, I don't need a factual reminder of what daily life was for any of us, I deserved some fun escapism which this show provided...

Completely unrealistic and the gratuitous sex was inappropriate. I won't miss this trash. It's an insult to the military.
