HBO announced today that Real Time with Bill Maher has been picked up for Seasons 19 and 20, extending its run through at least 2022. The veteran talk show has been continuing its solid performance for the cable network, due in-part to the country's increased interest in the current political landscape.
Hosted by comedian and political satirist Bill Maher, Real time is a weekly talk show featuring journalists, politicians, and celebrities who join Maher in discussing current events happening around the areas of politics and the media.
Real Time with Bill Maher recently resumed airing from inside the studio after spending the bulk of 2020 filming from Maher's backyard. Episodes air on HBO and are now also available for streaming on HBO Max.

I'd rather be the only woman on a Greek freighter than watch this garbage. Maher has a negative IQ meaning that he knows less than nothing. Normally not possible but it comes easily to him.

I can not stand Bill Maher.. he's an idiot. However... this show can be interesting when the right guests are on. By himself.. Maher is a waste of space. His "comedy" is not funny at all and without his "pre-laugh" the audience wouldn't laugh. The depths of patheticism were shown during the pandemic when he had to cut in laugh tracks from the past 50 years so he could hear laughter during is "stale" monologues..... just so he could stroke his ego. A new host that does NOT think they are the "be-all-end-all" would make this show much better... same format.. just a different, less hypocritical host.
