TBS announced today that The Last O.G. has been picked up for a fourth season. The good news comes four months after the comedy wrapped Season 3, which continued to be a strong performer for the cable network.

The series has been one of TBS' top comedies since its debut in 2018 - its first episode ranked as the network's biggest comedy premiere in three years and it went on to be the #1 cable comedy of 2018. Subsequent seasons have continued that trend, with Season 3 drawing over 20 million viewers across its distribution platforms.

The Last O.G. marked Tracy Morgan's first role as a television series regular since his 2014 car accident that left him severely injured. He stars in the show as an ex-con named Tray, who is shocked at the changes the world has gone through since he was released on good behavior. Not only has his Brooklyn neighborhood been gentrified, but his former girlfriend is now married to a successful man who is helping to raise the twins he never knew existed. Not having any money to support himself or his children, Tray reverts to the skills he picked up while incarcerated in order to make ends meet while trying to acclimate to his new reality.

It is being speculated that Tiffany Haddish, who plays Tray's ex-girlfriend, will not be returning next season. While TBS is not confirming the departure, Haddish was not mentioned in today's press release announcing the fourth season.

Look for Season 4 of The Last O.G. in 2021.
