The veteran comedy scores an expected back-order.
October 23, 2020
ABC announced today that six additional episodes have been ordered for the seventh season of Black-ish, which premiered this past Wednesday. The top-up is no surprise, as the long-running comedy has yet to air a season less than 23 episodes in length.
The extra episodes ordered today bring the show's Season 7 total to 21 episodes, but there is a potential that a few more could still be added as the season progresses.
Known to incorporate storylines related to real-world issues based on current events pertaining to African-Americans, the half-hour series continues to draw critical acclaim - including picking up multiple awards from the NAACP Image Awards. The show is ABC's second-longest running comedy currently on the air, and is nearing the 150-episode milestone.
Black-ish follows patriarch Andre 'Dre' Johnson, who has a beautiful wife, a job he loves, and four kids. They all live in a nice colonial home in the suburbs, but Dre wonders if success has brought too much assimilation to his African-American family.

@Scott You seem to want this show off the air really bad. Why? All you have to do is simply not watch it. And the more people that follow your lead you will get your desired result. Does it bother you to know there's a black show for black people that cares about what black people are interested in? I can easily see why racist people think the show is trash and want it gone.
There over 400 channels of TV you can watch.

I don't know if this show sucks or if it doesn't suck. But I highly doubt it is a political vehicle for the DNC. If you are going to prime time comedy television shows to get your dose of politics then you are a moron. Whatever happened to just saying you don't like something and stopping at that? Why does everything have to be pro this party or anti that party? And then we wonder why our country has gone to hell in a hand basket.

@Moe - Maybe your leader and my leader can get together and they can get this poor excuse for programming off the TV!

The WORST kind

@Scott - Then don't watch it. Problem solved.
@BeoM - You're kidding right? Yup I go to the meetings. I mean if it can be run by an Hispanic leader, I'm sure they'd let blacks go too.
@Nudnik of Time - Well we already know you're type. Can't say anything intelligent so just make nasty attacks. Your leader would be pleased.

@MoeB: You have a negative IQ which means you know less than nothing. Normally this is impossible but it comes naturally to you.

MoeB how do you know people are with the Proud Boys? Did you take a poll? Or were you at the last meeting?
10/24/20 at 12:46pm
@Moe B - Or could it be that the show just sucks....

Addy, you're probably right and I've heard others say this... but this show always airs 23-ish episodes, so doesn't the top up fall in line with that?
To me it would be weird if they *didn't* top it up...
