It is being reported that Netflix has renewed Young Wallander for a second season. The move comes two months after the European drama released its six-episode freshman run, which ultimately drew mixed reviews. Star Adam Palsson, who plays the titular character, took to Instagram with the good news.
Based on Henning Mankell's novels, this reimagining follows the growing experiences of Inspector Kurt Wallander as a police officer in his early 20s in modern-day Sweden. Fresh out of the police academy, Wallander witnesses a heinous crime and is pulled into investigating it under the wing of superintendent Hemberg.
Look for Season 2 of Young Wallander in 2022.

I really like these Swedish murder shows. Been watching them for years. This was awful. Full of cliché writing, dumb plotline. A really poor show compared to the original or the BBC Wallander version. A hard pass for me.

Is this all we're going to get for our $12 a month, Neflix? Recycled European programming? You've pretty much canceled everything you make yourself, Netflix.

Ginger - Old Wallander, at least in the British version, is diagnosed with Alzheimer's but solves a crime involving his daughter's father-in-law.

meh.. it was okay but nothing really special. Another run-of-the-mill cop show really. The most miraculous aspect of it was how this fresh graduate from the academy instantly becomes a detective. Guess they do things differently in Sweden/Norway
