CBS announced today that Love Island USA has been picked up for a third season. The good news comes four months after the dating series wrapped its sophomore run, which managed to find a way to air despite the complications of a global pandemic.

Based on the British smash hit, the reality show brings a group of single 'Islanders' together in a picturesque villa on a tropical island as they look for love. During their summer of romance, the Islanders pair up when they have a connection and can be voted off when they don't. New singles periodically arrive to stir things up, and viewers can participate by voting on certain events using an app. Eventually one lucky couple is crowned the winner with the chance to take home a cash prize - and possibly love.

Because of COVID-19, Love Island USA was forced to improvise in Season 2. Instead of a tropical island location, the show moved production on Las Vegas, where the cast spent their summer on the roof of The Cromwell hotel.

For Season 3, the show has set its sights on Hawaii, which allows it to stay in the US while offering a tropical setting. Look for a return sometime this summer.
