Peacock announced today that a new spinoff of the hit dating series 'Love Island' is coming to the platform this fall. It will be the first-ever spinoff of the show, which has made 26 versions internationally since becoming a breakout sensation in the UK.
Titled 'Love Island Games,' the new series will premiere later this year on the heels of the fifth season of 'Love Island' USA. The first season will bring together cross-franchise fan-favorite Islanders from the US, UK, Australia and beyond for another shot at love. They'll compete in a brand-new format that combines romance with reality, competing in both team and couples' challenges while navigating dating, eliminations, recoupling, and new arrivals.

I saw something about another possible writer's strike and the last one was blamed for a surge of reality. I think it's more like less investment and less risk and just enough profit for an easy low ride.

Go back to scripted shows. The reality scrap shows need to stop. Really question the mindset of those that support reality shows.....
