The legal drama will not return for a third season.
May 15, 2021
Word is out this afternoon that CBS has cancelled All Rise after two seasons. The sad news comes with two episodes remaining in the courtroom drama's sophomore run, with its series finale set to air on May 24.
The show follows the chaotic, but hopeful, lives of the judges, prosecutors, and public defenders at a Los Angeles courthouse as they work with clerks, bailiffs, and police to ensure justice is served to the city's people amidst a flawed legal process.

@Viola,@ Vendetta : Actually NUMEROUS shows are cancelled after 2 seasons; it has very little to do with the premise of the show, actually . What happens is we think when a show either stays on or gets cancelled it's personal, but it isn't. To Vendetta's point it IS numbers based, but to Viola's point see above- just because we don't like certain programming it doesn't mean the audience is not significant enough to keep it on air.

All kinds of shows are cancelled for different reasons

I liked the first season but this second season was too extra for me. I wasn't surprised to find out this was being canceled. I agree that the last episode felt a bit rushed but I appreciate the effort to try and give a sense of resolution.

Great cast, lousy scripts. This played like a nighttime soap.

Best wishes to the cast & crew. I'll be looking forward to where everyone ends up in the future months/years. The final episode did seem to be thrown together; or quickly re-edited in an attempt to wrap-up the series as best as all could do, probably for an episode which didn't originally plan on being the series finale.
Personally, I was already losing interest in the series but my wife liked it. Again, good luck to all involved.

The v's I agree but this is what two different ideas look like that slowly start coming together. Believe me I would love to talk to viola on the phone and we would both see we are not that different. And would probably laugh together about certain things

@Vendetta : It's not really a rabbit hole, but at least you had the courage to answer, so that's at least a positive sign. Most discussions devolve on here so fast I don't even engage. I just think it's funny that as viewers we think of it as a "win" when a show we don't care for is cancelled, and then go on to treat THAT as if it's a referendum on the world; it isn't. There will be more shows produced that you may call sjw, and probably more shows that I won't watch as well. That's just the way life is. Happy viewing whatever you watch.

@ Vendetta____Again, in large part because you fall into a certain demo, you would say that. They apparently "work" well enough to evoke a visceral reaction from you, and cause you to even say things like "sjw." You can say what you want about a show being cancelled AFTER THE FACT, but are you really qualified to say what will be a good idea as an executive, or just another person with 20/20 vision in hindsight? Name a show you've seen that depicts the current political climate and social issues that you deem to be "good". A show that you could watch without feeling butthurt or" offended" by the content? BTW, the numbers for this show were actually better than some that remain on the roster.
