No Season 2 for the sci-fi drama.
May 27, 2021
It is being reported that NBC has cancelled Debris after just one season. The sad news comes three days after the sci-fi drama wrapped its 13-episode freshman run. The move isn't a complete surprise though, as the show struggled to find a sizeable audience despite generally positive feedback from critics.
From 'Fringe' executive producer J.H. Wyman, the hour-long series follows a world where mysterious wreckage has fallen to Earth from outer space. An international agency, as well as other mysterious parties, try to figure out where it came from and what is behind it, as each fragment has an unpredictable effect on those who find it, changing their lives in unexpected and dangerous ways.

Another show I watched and is canceled after 1 season - I think I only have 2 more scripted shows I watch out of the three networks - disappointed again

I expected this. And I LOVE that they love each other and know it! Did it at least get some sort of conclusion? I'm about 3 episodes behind...

Enjoyed the first episode, was hoping it would make it, but nowadays we usually watch one episode to see if it’s something we want to save to our watch list, then sit back and wait to see if it gets renewed before we get too invested in something that just gets cancelled and it ends on a cliffhanger. Delete.

Wow, not surprised at all. I loved it so of course they cancel! Reality TV sucks. NBC I'm not happy with you!

That sucks but I can't say I'm surprised. They NBC never sticks with any sci-fi shows. They do crime dramas over and over and over again but never really give sci-fi a chance.

Blame reality tv not the lack of viewers showing up.

Shame on me for investing in another network sci-fi show knowing it probably would just get cancelled. Maybe if the show had been titled Law and Order: Alien Debris it might have gained more traction. Ugh. I’m done with network tv sci fi. At least I know the streamers have a better chance for it lasting. I hope at least Wyman will share with the world what would have happened in the show to know where it would have headed. I really knew nothing by the end of the season finale.

Now, I DVR every show and wait till they get renewed. That way I also can skip the commercials so screw NBC
