No Season 5 for the crime dramedy.
June 25, 2021
It is being reported that NBC has cancelled Good Girls. The sad news comes a month before the crime dramedy wraps its fourth season, meaning its finale on July 22 will now serve as its series ender.
The hour-long show premiered in early 2018, performing reasonably well in its mid-season time slot. Since then it has gone on to be a reliable spring entry for the network, and has also found its share of viewers in its second run on Netflix.
Good Girls follows three suburban mothers fed up with barely making ends meet. Wanting to change their fortunes, they rob a local grocery store together. But when they get identified and the stolen loot ends up being more than they expected, the three friends soon realize that they are in too deep and their lives may never be the same.
Five episodes remain before the series finale, but unfortunately it sounds as if the ongoing storyline will not have a proper conclusion. Producer Universal Television will also not be looking to find it a new home.

Huge disappointment. I am on the verge of canceling Netflix and this just moves me closer. NBC is blah. Cable TV us full of trash and "reality" bullshit.

Well another show eliminated from my auto record list! At least this time we know it won't have a proper ending and it ain't gonna be picked up anywhere else!!!!

I enjoyed this, and was planning to binge watch the latest season. Pity

Why should we ever watch anything on NBC anymore? I am SO disappointed. This is the one show I was rooting for more than any other to get renewed!

I've been saving season 3 because I HATE the weekly episodic release.. even more so when they go a month between episodes. Commercial television just ruins things. ESPECIALLY dramas... tension rises.. the BAM! OVERLY LOUD COMMERCIAL FOR THE LOCAL CAR DEALER. Networks jsut have no clue. I really liked the first 2 seasons and was anticipating season 3 being just as good. So I'd prefer to watch it commercial free and 2 or 3 episodes in a row. Seems now at least now I know next week's episode will be the last.

Was waiting to watch season 4 until hearing if season 5 was going to be around. Another series canceled that I'll be purging from my DVR. Actually watching more streaming on Netflix then network these days.

This sucks! Was it a perfect show? No, but it was entertaining and that’s what I want. I’m sure it will be replaced with more “reality” crap. How about we just watch idiots kick each other in the balls like in the movie Idiocracy? I’m sure that would be a hit.
And to not give it a proper conclusion is an insult to those of us who have watched from the start. Eff you NBC!

Seriously? They couldn't just give us one more season to wrap things up? NBC is on a role lately.... Debris, Zoey's, Manifest... jeez.

Sad. Perhaps if NBC had given the show a “constant” day and time slot more people would have stayed with it. I got fed up of trying to “find it”!
