There will be no Season 8 for Good Witch. Hallmark Channel announced today that the long-running dramedy will be coming to an end after its current seventh season. The news comes two weeks ahead of its season finale, which will now act as its series ender.
The show has been a solid performer for the cable network since its premiere in 2015, with viewership staying more or less consistent over the course of its run. The show regularly ranks as Hallmark Channel's top primetime series.
Good Witch stars Catherine Bell as Cassie Nightingale, Middleton's favorite enchantress who shares a special intuition with her teenage daughter. When Dr. Sam Radford and his son arrive in town, they are immediately taken by their spellbinding new neighbors. Unfortunately Sam and Cassie do not see eye to eye, but Cassie uses her signature charm to try and bring everybody together.

So sad to see this. Agree with others, this season didn’t have the magic of others. I too hope for Good Witch Movies now and then.

Dwb,. Long running shows who h do well are cancelled for various reasons. 1. A new CEO comes and wants to make new shows. 2. Main Cast members want to move on ( not the case here) 3. Salary issues. ( Not the case here).4. network thinks a old show will not attract new viewers. 5. Ratings ( not the case here). 6. If A Show is very expensive to make. And they can make two for the price of one. So your guess is as good as anyone a. I think cancelling this is a mistake.

I could never understand why so many shows that are ranked as a networks top series are cancelled.

I love this show but was very disappointed in this season. What happened to Cassie’s shop where she used to help everyone?This season seemed to be more about Joy. The best part of this season was Martha.

I've watched since the beginning. This year definitely was worth the cancelation. Now, early this season when they teased us with George - if that really had turned out to be something real - the show would have been saved

It was a good run but all things must end. Maybe Hallmark can go back to making annual Good Witch movies, which is how the series started?
