The comedy revival will return for Season 2.
July 15, 2021
Paramount+ announced today that iCarly has been picked up for a second season. The good news comes a month after the revived comedy debuted its freshman run, which has gotten off to a strong start.
Through its first seven episodes, the series has garnered praise from critics and is ranking as one of the streaming service's most-streamed originals.
The new iCarly takes place nearly a decade after the first iteration ended, and follows online star Carly Shay, now in her 20s, as she decides to start up her iCarly channel again. Now Carly must figure out how to navigate this new stage in her life along with her friends and family.
Production on Season 2 of iCarly is slated to begin later this year, with a return expected in 2022.

I was so excited when I saw this was coming back. After watching the entire new season, I am still happy. The show hasn't lost a thing. Still as zany as it always was!

I think it is because it has been so long since the original was on the air. So they consider this one an entirely new series.

Sam - not according to Paramount+. Their own press release calls it Season 2. You can even see it in the embedded tweet in the story.

What do you mean Season 2? There has been 6 seasons so far, this would be season 7 then.
