No Season 2 for the comic-based drama.
October 17, 2021
Word is out that FX has cancelled Y: The Last Man after just one season. Showrunner Eliza Clark took to Twitter with the sad news, stating her commitment to finding the drama a new home. The show is currently seven episodes into its run on FX on Hulu, with three remaining before the now-series finale on November 1.
Based on the comic book series of the same name, Y: The Last Man takes place after a catastrophic event decimates every mammal with a Y chromosome except for one man and his pet monkey. The survivors work to restore what was lost and build something better out of their post-apocalyptic world.

This is not a woke show. The man haters are lead by a murdering psycho woman. The whole show depicts women as both good and rotten. A woke show would depict all white women as evil and minorities as oppressed. This is not the case

This is why I hate starting to watch a new show. Once I find a show that I actually enjoy it gets cancelled! :-(

Oh screw that. This show was actually really good. A thoughtful and entertaining show. Hopefully it can continue somewhere.

John Doe - Thank you for your input. Can you make sense of, or explain the showrunner's declaration of what Last Man is supposed to be about: "gender, about how oppressive systems inform identity." ?

Strange that a lot of people are causing this show woke.
To me, it’s a conservatives wet dream:
- The world falls apart instantly when most of the males die.
- Liberals are covering up existence of the only known male survivor.
- The few right wingers left in the capitol are shown to be correct.
- The only people with any power are the ones with guns.
All that said, the problem with the show is it’s boring. Also, I don’t mind dystopian settings, but why is almost everyone an idiot? It seems like the show went out of its way to appeal to everyone and therefore appeals to no one.
The show did not get cancelled for being woke, however, it certainly helped me sleep.
BTW, I’ve watched 7 of the first 8 episodes since my spouse seems to like it. Happy wife, happy life.

I don't think so Z. Comments can post instantly without moderation. Now D. Umb, on the other hand, warrants suspicion and probably set the table for himself or herself and he or she (see how compassionate I am) then might also be Blake or A, or John or Travis (but not the truly oppressive me).

Comments take a few hours to go through moderation. So how did "A" comment on Blake's post within 15 minutes? Are A and Blake the same person? If so, that's hilarious.
