No Season 2 for the comic-based drama.
October 17, 2021
Word is out that FX has cancelled Y: The Last Man after just one season. Showrunner Eliza Clark took to Twitter with the sad news, stating her commitment to finding the drama a new home. The show is currently seven episodes into its run on FX on Hulu, with three remaining before the now-series finale on November 1.
Based on the comic book series of the same name, Y: The Last Man takes place after a catastrophic event decimates every mammal with a Y chromosome except for one man and his pet monkey. The survivors work to restore what was lost and build something better out of their post-apocalyptic world.

@D. Umb
If it was just basic human compassion and dignity then it wouldnt need to be literally forced on everyone at gunpoint by creating laws about pronouns.
@A Hopefully it knocks some sense. Its always amusing to see how liberals caricature and strawman conservatives or even just moderates. Theyre so hopelessly stuck in their bubble they have no clue.
With a "gender diverse crew" and seemingly having only women involved maybe this is just a result of what happens when you dont involve at least some straight men in the process. This show had so much potential to be an actually good story. Im not familiar with the comics its based on but the show could have veered a little bit from source and been really good. Too bad it sounds like they focused more on diversity than writing and production.

There was a movie that was shown on UPN about 15-20 years ago, I can't remember the name of it. It was pretty good for it's time. "The Last Man on Planet Earth." Had Tamlyn Tomita in it.

@ dumb
your name is fitting you perfectly. No one is saying women can't have a voice... they just don't have to be man hating, completely unlikable bitches. To say that conservatives aren't compassionate because they don't like bad writing is idiotic. Maybe people are sick and tired of being beat over the head with this crap... read the room instead of defaulting to crying about racism or equality from other commenters you twit.
Good Ridance!

Who Cares!!!
They didn't even reveal the cause of all the deaths in the comics, so why would I want to watch several seasons of a show with no answer to WHY it happened.

Dr Dumb, I didn't see it but 9 out of 10 times when someone says something is woke and I have seen it, they are correct. Someone already referenced the above tweet and let me quote what the tweet says it's about: "gender, about how oppressive systems inform identity."
Well I be gosh darn if that isn't the wokeist language I've ever come across. Liberals are even starting to complain about wokeism.. How dumb do you have to be not to get it?

Wow so many people on this website just don't get it. It's almost as if the show has a woman speak and leave the kitchen it is too woke.
When will conservatives realize that what they consider "woke" 99% of the humanity considers basic compassion. In thier eyes the first amendment is too woke.
It's not the 1910's. Learn to live with "basic human dignity"

bah hahaha!! with a tweet like that I can't believe this show was canceled. The comic had lots of strong diverse characters and great writing! but no no... the woke movement had to tank another potential multi season show.
