Netflix announced today that Outer Banks has been renewed for a third season. The good news was delivered via a video of the cast remotely celebrating the pickup, which was posted on the streaming service's Twitter account.
The show released its sophomore run four months ago and again garnered a healthy number of viewers, jumping to the top spot globally in the streamer's Top 10 list.
Set in the Outer Banks of North Carolina, the series follows a close group of local teenaged friends known as the Pogues. After a hurricane shuts off the power during the summer season, it sparks numerous illicit events in its wake. There is a search for group leader's missing father, a high-stakes treasure hunt for gold, forbidden relationships, and an escalating conflict between the Pogues and their rivals that results in life-changing decisions.
Look for Season 3 of Outer Banks in 2022.
This just in from Poguelandia...
